The movable cultural properties in Regional Ethnographic Museum – Plovdiv are divided into six specialized funds: Agriculture, Crafts, Textiles and Clothing, Musical Instruments and Ritual Properties, Furniture and Interior, Photo Gallery and Fine Art. They are the result of the persistent collection of work of museum curators for more than a century. In recent years, thanks to donors, several large collections have entered the museum’s storage. Among them, is the material evidence related to the history of post and communications in Bulgaria; the invention and improvement of the flatiron over the centuries; the numerous donations of fabrics and clothing; works of fine art and much more. The museum team is grateful to all its donors, who constantly supplement the collections and help us in the work of preserving our cultural heritage. Many personal belongings of notable Bulgarians who have greatly contributed to the Bulgarian history, culture and art are kept in the museum.
