HOW TO GET TO THE MUSEUM

Regional Ethnographic Museum – Plovdiv is located at 2 Dr Stoyan Chomakov, Str. in the Ancient Plovdiv Architectural and Historical Reserve. The museum can be reached on foot, as car access in the Old Town is limited. If you have a car, you can park in the parking lot next to The Assumption Cathedral on 2 Soborna, Str. or in the parking lot next to the Monday Market on Patriarch Evtimii Str.

Free Wi-Fi can be used in the museum. There is a toilet for visitors.

FOR PEOPLE WITH SPECIFIC NEEDS

The Regional Ethnographic Museum – Plovdiv provides a maximally accessible environment for people with mobility disabilities.

Upon deciding to visit Regional Ethnographic Museum – Plovdiv, you can call Plovdiv Municipality in advance on +359 32 962 478. They will provide free transport to the museum with a specialized bus for people with disabilities. You can book your transport up to 7 days before visiting the museum. The transport is available only within the city. Our main entrance is accessible by car, taxi or on foot, but the paved uphill streets might be an obstacle if you are walking.

When visiting the museum, people with special needs should contact our staff for assistance. They could also book their visit in advance by calling tickets and information on +359 32 625 654, or our PR representative on 0878 625 257.

Entrance to REM – Plovdiv for people with special needs and their companions is free of charge after presenting the required documents issued by the Territorial Expert Medical Commission.

After the main gate in the garden, turn right onto the footpath. You will arrive in front of a separate entrance with easier access, which will take you in front of an elevator located on the first floor of the museum exhibition and will help you get to the second floor. All halls are accessible to people with limited mobility.

Eighteen steps to the left of the gate in the garden is the toilet for disabled people.

The museum offers an audio tour, which can be heard through the site or on location.
