INTERNATIONAL MUSEUM DAY

On International Museum Day May 18 (saturday), the Regional Ethnographic Museum – Plovdiv will work with free entrance from 9.00 am to 11.00 pm.

At the museum, you will see:

-“The time of the Alafranga” – exhibition of REM – Plovdiv. It will take you back to the 19th century when the style “A la franga” became popular and reflected the influence of European culture on our city. You will have the opportunity to see the interior decoration and furnishing of the houses from the Old Town, which brings a charming atmosphere from that era. In addition, you will enjoy various objects from the collection of REM – Plovdiv, which shows how life changed at that time.

-“Watercolors from holy places of the world and in our country” – an exhibition by the artist Georgi Terziev. The exhibition will take you to the exciting world of South Africa and Zimbabwe. Viewers will be captivated by the breathtaking beauty of iconic landmarks such as Victoria Falls – one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World; the dramatic landscape of the Cape of Good Hope; the cosmopolitan city of Cape Town; and the richness of African wildlife.

–And our permanent exhibition, which will take you back to the period of the Bulgarian Revival.
