October, 1st – 31st 5th International Biennial “Masters of Caricature” – Plovdiv, 2009 Subject: “Alcohol and the World Nations” – extraordinary vision of the traditional culture, with the participation of renowned cartoonists from all over the world. A lot of nations around the world have their favourite alcohol drink, which is emblematic for them. This particular drink occupies its special place in the customs and rituals of the community; in everyday life and holidays of the people as well as in their traditional beliefs and ideas. 293 caricatures by 128 authors (from 37 countries) have been received at the 5th edition of the International Biennial “Masters of Caricature”.
